More and more Americans are overweight. Not only our adults, but our children and teens. Many weight loss plans have tried to help this problem, but few produce the same simple, dramatic and
safe results as the HCG diet.

The HCG diet plan offers individuals, whether 10, 20, 50 or even 100 lbs or more overweight, the chance to become the person they have always dreamed about- normal weight and healthy. Although the diet has been around for more than 55 years, it’s only in the past two or three years that it has become popular. The first 55 years of the diet were limited by the need for daily injections and a rather rigid 500 calorie a day diet. Weight Loss is Fast: It’s so fast, it’s practically instantaneous. The dieter notes half to one pound of fat loss almost every day. Weight loss continues at a steady pace, and there is rarely a day without some weight loss- thanks to the HCG hormone.

Even more exciting is the fact that most of the weight loss is from the difficult to reach places—around the belly, the buttocks and thighs.

Hunger and Cravings Are Eliminated: Whether the dieter uses the original 500 calorie diet plan or the new 800 calorie plans, he is amazed by the absolute lack of hunger. The dieter’s cravings are almost absent and the meals become smaller and smaller. Often the dieter needs to be reminded to eat!

Exercise is NOT required for the Rapid Weight Loss: In Dr Simeons’ original plan it was suggested that dieters avoid exercise. They believe that some daily exercise should be encouraged but not to the level of exhausting the dieter or driving them crazy when they are unable to do it.

Weight Loss is Safe: Let’s face it, the HCG diet has been around for more than 50 years without any evidence of safety issues. Those that doubt it’s benefits have looked for years to find a problem. Aside from a few common, usually insignificant transient problems like fatigue, lightheadedness, and hair loss, no one has experienced any significant complications. The few problems that have been noted occur with every diet where the dieter loses a lot of weight and are self limited.

Weight Loss Appears Permanent: The maintenance stage of the diet (phase 3) helps the dieter obtain control over his weight. His new healthy eating habits become a lifetime of better eating which become permanent. The dieter has an improved awareness of high sugar and high fat foods as he learns to read food labels. With an improved awareness of health, the HCG dieter will not need to see a physician as often as he did when he was overweight.

The HCG Diet is Affordable. Other than the HCG preparation, there is nothing for the dieter to buy- NO special foods, bars, shakes, pills, supplements, dieting aids or unusual foods or drinks. Reduced food consumption results in a lower food bill, and the HCG diet products are more than affordable.

The HCG Diet Leads to Improvement in Many Metabolic Parameters: Almost as instantly as the HCG dieter notices he can fit into clothes he has not been able to wear for years, is the rapid fall in blood pressure, cholesterol, blood lipids and in diabetics, a fall in blood sugar. Often the dieter can lower the doses of his medications, and in some cases stop them completely.

HCG Dieters Experience Improvement in Arthritis: Arthritis of the back, hips, feet and knees are directly related to extra weight gain. Each pound of extra weight results in 3 pounds of extra pressure on the knees and six times the pressure on the hips. Losing weight lessens pain by reducing stress on the affected joints. Increased body weight is a serious factor in the development of osteoarthritis particularly in the knees, which carry the brunt of weight day in and day out. Research has shown that losing extra weight can help people who already have osteoarthritis as well as preventing the development of osteoarthritis in the future.

I started this hCG diet journey with hCG injections at 172 pounds, 34.5% body fat and a size 16/18. I’m now a size 2/4 and 125 lbs or so. I’ve been cycling crossfit with the hCG diet to achieve the best body composition for myself. In 9 months of attending crossfit I have gained 12 lbs of muscle (proof by hydrostatic body fat testing). Through the hCG diet I have lost almost 40 lbs of actual fat (not just water weight or muscle)- again, proof by hydrostatic body fat testing and DEXA scan. hCG Stands for human Chorionic Gonadtropin (say that 3x’s fast). It’s a hormone that a woman’s body produces in great abundance when she is pregnant, but a lesser known fact is that everyone, male and female (more on this here as well) produce the hCG hormone from their pituitary gland in minute amounts as well.
